O’Hare Stone Conservation offers sympathetic lime-based repair and maintenance of limestone and sandstone structures, sculptures and buildings.

Graham O’Hare favours a pragmatic approach using both mortar repairs and, where necessary, piecing-in of new stone. This enables the retention of as much original, historic material as possible, commensurate with significantly prolonging the “life” of the structure.

Using his combination of conservation and archaeological training and experience, Graham O’Hare is particularly interested in projects in which evidence gained from archaeological observation and recording can be used directly to inform the further conservation of the object in hand as the project unfolds.
